We invite applications for a Lecturer (Teaching & Research) in the department of Chemistry within the Stephenson Institute for Renewable Energy (SIRE).
We seek to appoint a Chemistry lecturer within SIRE whose research is in an area that either complements an existing area of SIRE expertise (Solar Energy Technology and Solar Cells, Semiconductor Physics, Catalysis, Advanced Characterisation of Energy Technologies, Electrochemistry, Energy Storage Technologies (Electrochemical) (i.e. batteries, supercapacitors), Energy Storage (Chemical) and Advanced Spectroscopy, or presents an opportunity for a new research area in Energy research which SIRE would like to move towards.
Applications are invited from candidates who can demonstrate an excellent research profile in energy-related chemistry, as evidenced by publications in leading academic journals. You will also be expected to teach a range of chemistry lectures, laboratory classes and tutorials within the most appropriate teaching sections of Physical, Inorganic or Organic Chemistry.
